The years are regular or leap.
The year with 12 months is called as the regular year, and the year with 13 months is known as the leap year, the name of 13th month is va-Adar or Adar Bet and this month is added after month Adar, this month is known also as the 2nd Adar.
Our year is the lunar year, and it is not equal to solar year, and from this reason was appointed that in the cycle of 19 years must be 12 regular years and 7 leap years.
These 19 years are called by our sages as Makhzor.
This year is for us 5675th year from the creation of World (writen in year 1915), we can check it in this way:
We have 298th Machzor and 13th year from beginning of Makhzor: 298*19 = 5662 + 13 = 5675.
